Books: Irish History This is a specially bound edition of the River Shannon classic 'Thanks For The Memory' by H. J. Rice. This edition was launched here in John's Bookshop in 2002. The copy offered here is one of a hundred copies bound in a green cloth with matching green cloth slipcase. This makes this a very special issue of what most people consider the best book ever written on the Inland Waterways of Ireland!
An extra feature of this edition is a colour reproduction of a painting of Dun Rovin (the Rice home at Coosan Point, Athlone) by Jim Reddy. This is signed by Jim Reddy and numbered 24 of 100.
